Once upon a time... a direct message changed the lives of two people forever. It wasn't until the third time (yes, that’s right, it took three times) that this would be Prince found his would be Princess.

Our story begins in February 2019, when Amber thought Justin was high on anesthesia after getting his wisdom teeth taken out. After a few weeks of conversation via texts and on the phone, they had our first date a Denny's in Fontana; this was where Amber thought Justin was going to stand her up when he went to the bathroom to wash his hands. After the first date, Justin knew he found someone special. Amber thought he was sweet, handsome, intelligent, and funny. During the weekend of Easter in 2019, Amber and Justin spent a weekend in Sacramento/San Francisco. The following week, Justin, Amber, and Ian (Justin's Best Man) went to Los Angeles to the Wax Museum and Griffith Observatory. Leading up to this trip, Justin had planned to ask Amber to be his girlfriend; however, during this trip Justin told Ian the plan he had, but he didn't want to wait, he wanted to ask her now. As impatient as he was, he decided to wait and go along with his normal plan.

On May 4th, 2019, Justin and Amber took a trip to Yosemite National Park. Justin had found out that this was one of Amber's favorite places, and what better place to ask her to be his girlfriend? They hiked up to Half Dome, and at 9:24am he asked her to be his girlfriend. Shortly, after Justin asking Amber to be his girlfriend, they were hiking on a trail, and he turned around looked Amber into her eyes and said “I Love you” for the first time.

During this time, Justin was living in Redding working with Cal Fire. At least two weekends per month, Justin would drive from Redding to Fontana for the weekend to spend time with Amber. After a few drives down south, Amber came up and stayed with Justin for a few weeks, where they lived in a studio. Soon after, they transitioned from Redding to Fresno, then back to Redding for a few weeks until Justin rented a room at a house in Redding. In June of 2020, Justin accepted a job offer which ultimately allowed Justin and Amber to rent an apartment in Davis, CA. This time, Justin and Amber welcomed 3 adorable bunnies as part of their family: Popcorn in December of 2020 and Loui and Shamoo in June of 2021.

In 2022 it was time to move again; this time to San Bruno, CA. Justin had accepted another position which meant another adventure for the both of them. In June of 2022, Justin received notice that he would be deploying in June of the following year. In November 2022, Justin and Amber added another addition to their pet family, their half Pomeranian/half Frenchy, Grizzly Bear.

In the beginning of May 2023, Justin took Amber on a surprise trip to Florida. Amber thought this was going to be just another vacation; but little did she know, Justin had a big surprise for her. On May 4th, 2023, Justin drove the both of them to Key West, Florida; a place they both loved. It was on that day that Justin got on his knee and asked Amber to be his wife. They only got to celebrate a short period of their engagement since Justin deployed shortly after that.

Through Company Command, a deployment, and numerous moves; they’ve continued their unwavering love for each other that only continues to exponentially grow.
