All Because Two People Swiped Right

Amber swiped right. It was a match. This handsome bearded fella with a 50 lb bag of flour over his shoulder had already indicated his interest. He opened with a cute salutation (Hey cuteness) and his indication of genuine interest. Messaging in the app, quickly turned to texts, and long phone calls. They got to know each other a bit before they set the day for their first date, but anyone who knows them could tell you that they were smitten with each other before they even met!On March 19th, they met in Annapolis for crepes and sightseeing. Ezra, being an Annapolitan at the time, thought he would woo Amber with his knowledge of the town and history, while they walked and talked. They ended the date with a promise to see each other soon. And then they ended up talking to each other on the phone for hours later that night.It wasn’t long before they decided to move in together. Crazy, we know. They grew in their love and friendship and would muse in many long conversations of marriage. On their one-year anniversary, Ezra surprised Amber by recreating their first date and had her friend Meghan creeping around to capture the moment he proposed. They walked by the dock and Ezra asked Amber if she wanted to marry him, in a casual manner. As Amber turned to reply, he took a knee and held up the ring. Amber shrieked with joy, “You wanna marry me?!” and Ezra never heard a more perfect sound.They found a home, coincidentally, four houses down from Amber’s parents and you couldn’t ask for a better commute to family dinners. They said goodbye to their beloved cat, Mr. Moon, as he crossed the rainbow bridge at 22 years old. Together, they welcomed four chaotic cats into their abode: Marshmallow Moon Pie, Hershey Cocoa, Graham Cracker Hancock, and Goetze Caramel Cream. They also occasionally feed an orange outside cat that Ezra dubbed Old Fashioned Fruit Slices (aka Jake).They’ve had the privilege of attending many family dinners, holidays, birthdays, births, funerals and weddings together. They are incredibly optimistic for their future and look forward to growing as a family and in their love.
