I’m from Lee’s Summit, went to high school with Mike at Lee’s Summit West. We were basically acquaintances then; it wasn’t until after we graduated, in a rather ill-conceived side quest through a pyramid scheme known as Quixstar, that we became good friends. Don’t worry though, we found plenty of slightly less cringy activities to bond over, mostly gaming and lifting weights. There was even a time, believe it or not, when I was more buff than Mike, which these days is just hard to imagine. I’d had a lot of good memories with Mike over the years, Zerg rushes in Star Craft 2 is a fond one that comes to mind. Mike is a legend. I’m thankful for having him as a good friend all these years.
