After countless dates on both sides and with the hope for a successful relationship seeming less likely, not to mention being separated by almost a hundred miles, Adrian and Amber encountered one another's profiles on a brief work trip to the coast of North Carolina in August of 2016. A long wait in a restaurant parking lot, (maybe just a little too long...) led to a first date that included talks about sports, jobs, geography, and visions of the future until having to be kindly reminded that "the establishment closes at 2:00...". &nbsp;Far from tired of one another, the date carried over to a middle-of-the-night walk on the beach and more conversation that lasted several hours (and about 4 miles worth of walking). Trips from Fayetteville to Wilmington or vice-versa became more and more frequent as the next few weeks carried on. The universe wasted no time in testing the brand-new couple, forcing Adrian on a month-long work trip after only one month even being together. &nbsp;A few more weeks, (and a hurricane,) later, Adrian received news that he would be leaving the country for no less than six months. Despite the odds and youth of the relationship, Amber was willing to wait, settling for texts, e-mails, and care packages until Adrian came home, having effectively spent 7 of their 9 months together away from one another. More time would pass accompanied by countless phone calls, texts, and trips to one another before work would take Adrian away from Amber yet again, though this time hopefully only for a few days. Unfortunately, the universe was not done with its' tests, as this trip resulted in a life-threatening injury, several surgeries, and a few weeks in the hospital. Once again, however, despite the circumstances, she chose to stay by his side, literally, becoming a fixture expected by the staff any time they would enter the hospital room, (to the point that they would become concerned if there was not a tiny, exhausted woman under a blanket in the recliner by the window). Fast forward a few years, a few career changes, and a few moves later... Amber and Adrian moved to the beautiful but traffic-laden city of Wilmington, North Carolina and made the decision to bring the two most beautiful dogs into their lives. First came Jackson, the bright but hungry pitbull pup adopted from the county animal shelter at 8 weeks old. Next came Harper, the beautiful, albeit somewhat aloof goldendoodle who cannot recognize quite how big she is.

About 40-45 minutes from the venue, but in the direction of Myrtle Beach, (If that's where you're flying!).

About 50 minutes away from the venue, but close to ILM airport as well as the city of Wilmington, NC.

Since there are not a large number of options in the immediate area for lodging, consider an AirBnB or VRBO at nearby Lake Waccamaw, NC, only 20 minutes from the venue. Many lake house owners will make their homes available in the off season!
