The bride and groom met during Amber's last days of college and student teaching. She was attending EKU and teaching at Madison Southern, which is the high school where Barkley graduated from. Little did they know, their infatuation for one another soon turned into wedding planning, and setting their beginning in the foundation of a new home!

Faith has led the bride to where she is today, and because of this, she feels beyond blessed for the path God is continuing to guide her along, and of course, for allowing her path to cross Barkley's path at such perfect timing. Even though the similarities between these two lovers are apparent, they maintain a strong balance of differences, which cause this pair to admire one another even more. There is no other person God could have blessed the bride to walk side by side with in this journey they are about to endeavor.

The bride strongly affirms that God's plan is always better than our own; if she had not followed His plan, she would not be on the journey to begin the rest of this life with the "perfect" man God had planned for her: Barkley. Because of Him, she is ready to vow to love her best friend, supporter, motivator, and life partner.
