Amber and Chris first met during a volleyball tournament in 2013. They were randomly placed on the same team. After playing a few matches together, Amber and Chris noticed they worked well as a team. They enjoyed playing in the tournament together, but didn't know there was any chemistry until they met up four months later in a volleyball league (shocker). One night during the volleyball league, Amber and Chris played against each other. Before the game started, he approached her and asked "Do you know what height the net is supposed to be at?" (He knew the answer to this question, but he wanted an excuse to talk to her.)

After their brief conversation, Amber and Chris started talking and grew closer over social media. Chris asked Amber shortly after to go on a date with him. Their first date just so happened to be on New Years Eve and the rest is history!

Amber and Chris dated for eight years and created many memories together. Two of their favourite memories were enjoying summers camping with family and friends, and added a fur baby (Josie) into their lives in 2018.

Chris planned a special day together which included ice skating and a romantic dinner. Amber was excited to go skating and thought this was just a regular date. Chris surprised Amber and proposed while they were skating. Amber was shocked and of course said yes!

After eight years of creating memories with each other, we can't wait to create memories with you at our wedding on August 24, 2024!
