It started, as most love stories do these days, with an Instagram DM. But unlike so many other relationships that begin the same way, this was more than just casual conversation. There was an immediate connection and genuine interest in one another. Amber was a nursing student at Eau Claire, and Mitch was about to graduate from La Crosse. The distance gave them time to talk and truly get to know each other before ever going on an official first date.

When they finally did meet in person, their chemistry was effortless—and it has stayed that way ever since. After four and a half years of dating (and adding a puppy to their lives—shoutout to Millie!), Mitch finally got down on one knee and asked Amber the easiest question of his life: “Will you marry me?”
