Act 1, Scene 1: "The Introduction" On a late night after a long Friday shift at the local Skate Center, a gorgeous young Amber and her co-workers arrive at their favorite after-hours diner, Denny's. A few minutes after being seated, up walks a new waiter they have never seen before, one with a bubbly personality and a great voice. He is a charming, smooth-talking server who knows how to keep a conversation going. Little does Amber and her group know, they are in search of a new DJ, and before the night is over, the manager of The Skate Center approaches Alex "the waiter" with a proposition to join the team. Within a week’s time, Alex is hired as the new DJ and starts making regular appearances in the DJ booth, which is located right next to the Snack Bar where the stunning Amber works daily. Though neither of them knows it yet, working side by side will lead to a friendship that will continue for many years to come. Act 1, Scene 2: "The Timeline" As time goes on, Amber surprises Alex by reaching out to her new friend for a favor - a ride to Myrtle Beach to support her friend in a local MMA fight. Little do they know, the time they spend together on this trip becomes the beginning of a strong bond that changes their lives forever. Not long after, we find Alex whisking Amber away to a charming duck pond, slipping his class ring on her finger and asking her to be his girlfriend. Of course, Amber says yes, and from then on, they embark on many exciting adventures together. In their small Virginia town, surrounded by family they love, the relationship continues to grow into an undeniable love for one another. But there is one catch. Though caught up in the whirlwind of young love, Alex is insistent that they not rush into marriage. He advises that if they both love the people they will become in 10 years, the same way they love each other now, they will know they are ready for anything. Perhaps a part of Amber agrees with the reasoning. Perhaps she thinks she can easily change Alex’s stubborn delay to commitment. Either way, she agrees, trusting that love will provide at the proper time. Act 2, Scene 4: "The Port City" Over the years, they share countless memorable experiences, from hosting UFC fights and embarking on magical trips to Disney World, to basking in the sun-kissed shores of various beaches and embarking on thrilling adventures to new cities and states exploring fine dining at each fresh destination along the way. But their most treasured memory? On one of their signature standout trips, the duo visits Wilmington, North Carolina, where Alex attended college, during the vibrant Azalea Festival. The city's charm, the coastal climate and its annual festivities leave an indelible mark on Amber’s heart. A few years down the road, Alex and Amber make the decision to move to Wilmington, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives, filled with long days at the beach, summer nights indulging in seaside cuisine and weekend getaways discovering cherished wineries. They enthusiastically join a kickball league, forging lifelong friendships along the way, and later delve into a volleyball community, which not only deepens their connection but also introduces them to new friends who share their passion for competition. As happy as ever, Amber still longs to take the next big step with Alex by her side, beginning to wonder if that day will ever arrive. Act 3, Scene 5: "The Proposal" After 10 long years, on a serene July 25th, Amber has no idea that her life is about to take a momentous turn. Celebrating their annual Christmas-in-July tradition with Amber's family, they find themselves headed to a quaint Christmas-themed brunch spot in Calabash NC proposed by her mother and family friend, Mauricia. Alex, unfortunately, has to join them later due to some “work commitments” back in Wilmington. As they arrive at the brunch spot, "Toasted," they find their table isn't ready yet. Opting to pass the time, they wander over to a nearby store named St. Nick Knacks, a Christmas store they frequent. This visit, however, holds a surprise: Santa himself awaits them. With excitement, Amber and her sister Meadow can't resist the charm of the moment and decide to indulge in a childhood tradition of sitting on Santa's lap. Encouraged by Meadow, Amber takes the first turn. Little do they know that this innocent moment will mark the beginning of a life-changing event, an elaborate ruse all orchestrated by Alex. With a little help from Santa, Alex emerges on bended knee and proposes with a beautiful ring that Amber refers to as "Gladys." Act 4, Scene 1: "The Big Day" And now, as the curtain opens on a new and exciting act, we invite you all to share with us in the excitement and glamor, and witness as Amber and Alex take their next first steps towards their latest adventure….
