Our story began all the way back in 2010. Amber was just starting as a freshman at Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School. One day after school Amber's brother, Paul, brought home a friend after school. This friend ran up to Amber and gave her a huge hug stating "Hi Amanda," Amber looked at her brother extremely confused and Paul just shrugged his shoulders. Well as you may have guessed this friend was Andrew. This is where Amber and Andrews friendship began. Andrew consistently called Amber the wrong name for about 4 months, before Amber finally mentioned that her name was actually not Amanda.

Andrew, Paul, and Amber spent that whole year hanging out whenever opportunity arose. From working at the local grocery store (HUB) together, going to pep band, watching scary movies on the weekends, and frequent trips to Bdubs. Andrew and Amber continued to be friends after Andrew left for college at the end of that year.

Fast forward to 2013, Andrew moved back home from college and resumed working at the local grocery store that Amber still worked at. Andrew and Amber's friendship grew and started to blossom into the love that they share today.

On 4/8/2014, Andrew finally asked Amber to be his girlfriend. Andrew and Amber spent the rest of the summer hanging out every day prior to Amber leaving for Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. Which would separate them by 5 1/2 hours, though they knew that it was something they could handle.

Throughout Amber's time at college Andrew changed jobs and living circumstances multiple times. Andrew made every effort to come visit Amber every other weekend and to be there for every sorority event. Andrew and Amber had their challenges during this time but ultimately it grew their love for one another stronger and stronger. They not only started to grow as a couple but as individuals.

Amber decided that she wanted to do even more schooling and Andrew of course, being the kindest person continued to support her in her decision to move to North Chicago for pharmacy school. Andrew took a promotion for Kwik Trip and moved to Iowa during this time. Andrew and Amber continued their long distance relationship and always made time for one another in anyway that they could.

Fast forward to 5/20/21, Andrew and Amber were on vacation in Mexico. Andrew surprised Amber by asking her to commit to a lifetime of adventures together and of course Amber said YES!

Amber currently lives in Madison, WI completing a Post-Graduate

Year One Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the Madison VA. Andrew lives at his home in Cedar Rapids, IA where he works as a car wash technician for Kwik Trip. The two are excited to finally get to be together after what will be 8 years of a long distance relationship.
