Amber & Sam met through mutual friends while working as ski instructors at Sundown Mountain. They became best friends first and then fell in love. Sam asked Amber to be his girlfriend at Mickey's Irish Pub in Iowa City. They moved in together into an apartment in Iowa City, and Sam asked Amber to marry him on a hike on the Iowa river near their home. They have navigated long distance, life stages, and will now take on marriage with love and a lot of laughter together.
