While Amber lived in Naples, FL, her and her friends went to Punta Gorda, FL, for her roommate Katie’s birthday weekend celebration.

While Bobby was living in Englewood, FL, him and his friends decided to spend their Friday evening in Punta Gorda as well.

Both groups chose to have dinner Friday night at the same place, and Bobby ended up recognizing Katie, an old coworker of 4 years from Englewood, and her group of friends at the restaurant. After dinner, Bobby and his friends decided to come say hello and join the birthday fun that Friday evening.

Amber and Bobby had their first glance across a fire along the water front, with the flames of the fire and glowing light, it was love at first sight. The party ended up moving to a bar down the street where it was Ambers turn to buy a round of drinks, so she was just so kind enough to buy Bobby one too. While grabbing drinks, a guy at the bar was trying to gain Amber’s interest, but Amber had her eyes set on someone else already at her table. Bobby was beginning to get some attention by two other girls who walked up to the table, but he also showed no interest in them. So, Amber took one for the team, and asked Bobby if he needed an escape (or a pretend girlfriend) so they would leave him alone, and you guessed it folks - he did indeed! The two of them moved closer together, Amber wrapped her arm around Bobby, and they started to get to know each other from there. The two love birds ended up hitting it off, and were nonstop talking the rest of the night.

It took no time at all for Amber and Bobby’s friends to work up a plan to get the two to spend more time together. As the night was coming to an end, little did the newly acquainted couple know, but their friends had volunteered Bobby to stay in Punta Gorda for the night and sleep on a trundle bed, in the birthday suite, with Amber and the rest of her friends. Not enough thought, or just enough of it, went into the plan because Bobby was then stuck in Punta Gorda with no clean clothes, no overnight bag, no car, or a way home for the rest of the weekend.

Three days go by that these two are stuck together. Eventually Katie was nice enough to offer to take Bobby home at the end of the weekend so she could visit her hometown Englewood for the day, which then turned into night. Bobby and Amber were yet again stuck together for another night, but they didn’t seem to mind anymore. By the end of it, neither of them wanted the extended weekend to end.

While living almost 2 hours apart, the couple continued to grow fonder and fonder of each other until they moved to Tampa, FL together. So little to say, after a whole weekend stuck together and nowhere to go, you know when you know … and the rest is history after that! After 5 years together, we are now celebrating the two becoming one with saying, “I Do.” ❤️
