Our Wedding

We first met as teenagers working together at Kroger—Ronnie was 17 and I was 16. Right away, there was something special between us. Even though we both felt a connection, the timing wasn’t quite right, so life went on. But God had a bigger plan. Years later, our paths crossed again, and this time, we followed the pull that had always been there. When we reconnected and finally shared how we had always felt, it was clear—God had been working in both of our hearts, preparing us for His perfect timing. Now, as we prepare to enter into marriage, we’re so thankful for the journey that led us here. We give all the glory to God for writing our love story and guiding us every step of the way. We’re excited to build our life together on the foundation of faith, love, and the blessings He continues to pour into our lives

I came to know Christ on Easter of 2024. I had been to church before and experienced religion, but I didn’t believe in God or Jesus—I had never truly felt His presence. That changed when Kim and Ron Murley invited us to Easter service at Valley Rise Church. That day, the Holy Spirit pulled me in. For the first time, I felt the undeniable draw of God’s love, and I became hungry to know more of Him. I longed to feel His peace wash over me and His comfort wrap around the broken places in my heart.I carried deep hurts from my past—things I had never worked through. But when I finally surrendered those burdens to God, He lifted a weight I didn’t even realize I was still carrying. In His mercy, He began preparing me—for healing, for growth, and for the relationship He was about to bless between Ronnie and me.God was laying a foundation long before we were ready. He knew the trials we’d face and the refining we’d need. But through everything, He has remained so faithful. He’s breaking generational curses in our lives and families, restoring what was broken, and writing a story of redemption. Both Ronnie and I have done a complete 180 from who we once were. And now, just one year later, we serve in our church home—me with the little ones on our team, and Ronnie as a greeter at the main entrance.It’s incredible to witness the transformation God has done in such a short time. We are not who we used to be—and we know we wouldn’t be here, preparing for marriage, had we not prioritized and invited God into our relationship.As we begin this next chapter, our deepest prayer is to keep Christ at the very center of our marriage. We want to grow together—not just as husband and wife, but as one, drawing ever closer to the One who brought us together in the first place. "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."—&nbsp;Ecclesiastes 4:12
