Omni Park Spa is considered one of the places to visit for relaxation in Asheville, thanks to being famous not just in North Carolina but all across the nation for being one of the most highly-rated spas of its kind.T he design of the spa is pretty impeccable and fun, with a 6,500-star ceiling made with fiber optics, music that plays underground, and two waterfalls.
The website is excellent and clear. Take the time to read it; it will serve you well when you arrive. This place is ENORMOUS and there is a lot of walking and stairs. There are also fun things to do around the grounds.... Bike rentals, trails, etc... beautiful views. Gardens in bloom are beautiful in the spring so fall might not be too great. However, the outdoor temps will be comfortable.
With 30 breweries and counting in the city itself, and 60 in the region, Asheville has more breweries per capita than any other city in the country. The Asheville Ale Trail Map pinpoints all their locations and also shows breweries in the surrounding area, from Franklin to Boone. The Asheville Ale Trail site also offers maps with itineraries for self-guided tours, if you’d rather go at your own pace than join a guided group. Check out their maps of regional cideries, breweries in the South Asheville/Brevard area, a biking route from West Asheville to downtown, and walking routes including the South Slope, Asheville’s brewery district. Sierra Nevada’s, tours have gained a legendary status around Asheville, and for good reason. Ken Grossman, the founder of Sierra Nevada, was a brewing pioneer when he began making homebrews back in the 1980s. Now his company’s beers are sold nationwide, with brewing facilities in Chico, California, and Mills River, North Carolina (just outside of Asheville). Nestled along the French Broad River, the Mills River brewhouse is sprawling and spectacular.
You can take a basic brewery tour that shows the entire process – from raw hops to fermentation and packaging – or you can learn about the heritage and history of Sierra Nevada. Additionally, beer geeks will enjoy this 3-hour tour (for those with a more advanced understanding of the brewing process), and for those with a sweet tooth, check out the Chocolate and Beer Pairing in collaboration with the French Broad Chocolate Lounge. Be sure to book in advance, because the tours fill up quickly.

Asheville is well known for its unique assortment of breweries, bars, and even sake breweries. During this 4 hour tour we will ride around in Ashevilles first ever party bus to at least 4 of our favorite breweries in town. We will begin with a short drive to Hi-Wire Brewing, where we will check out their unique south Asheville "big top" location. We will then make our way over to one of Ashevilles most exciting new breweries, New Origin. From here we will head downtown and make a stop at one of our favorite breweries on the South Slope, often called Ashevilles "brewery district." We will round out the trip at the Wedge Brewing in the River Arts District adjacent to our outpost. Our uniquely decorated bus is BYOB, so we can keep the party going in between stops too! I will serve not only as your party captain, but also your photographer since we will have a camera with us for the trip to capture the memories! This experience will surely be the best part of your Asheville trip.
Nice little area of mixed use retail -- designed streets with a Barnes and Noble, REI, Loft, etc. More notably, has Thirsty Monk brewpub and Charming Charlie, a personal favorite. Plenty of free parking. Multiple casual restaurants, movie theater, pilates gym, etc. You know, the new kind of mall that's not an (indoor, mainly retail) "mall."
Very cool to see them create a piece of blown glass art. This is a small store attached to the glass working area-- you can book an experience to try it with a professional. Beautiful creations available to buy
