Almost three years ago in California, we were embarking on separate journeys with a common purpose - to serve the Lord. Little did we know that our paths were about to intertwine in the most unexpected way.
I was enrolled in a secondary school program with YWAM Yosemite, where I pursued my passion for the Lord and his word. At this time, David was doing his Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM Yosemite.In November, we began to talk as friends. During this time our conversations grew deeper as well as our friendship.
In March 2022, David completed his DTS program. May 1st we FaceTimed and told each other we wanted to purse a relationship together.
I returned home in late June , and on the 11th we went on our first official date - a simple walk on my family’s property.From then on we navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship.
On the morning of December 31st, 2022, David knew it was time to take the next step. Despite feeling under the weather, he had a plan in mind. He took us to our favorite park, and despite the rain he dropped to one knee.
Several months followed. Despite the physical separation,we made it a priority to spend as many weekends together as possible, cherishing every precious moment we had. It was during this time that our love was tested and proven to only grow deeper.
