Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rochester, an IHG Hotel
We have 30 rooms blocked for Friday and Saturday nights. Just call the hotel, give them our names, and let them know if you want to stay for one or two nights. You have up until September 12th (30 days prior to the wedding) to book and get the blocked rate. Block room rate is $289/night. There are also some other small inns and of course AirBnBs in the area. October is peak touristy season in the area because of the fall foliage so we do recommend booking something as early as you are able.
Airport Options
We have traveled through all three of the airports below. Here are some of the pros and cons of each.
Boston-Logan Airport (BOS), Boston MA
Pros: As a hub, it will have a lot of options and tends to be the cheaper flights.
Cons: Traffic - Google Maps or Waze will show about an hour and a half drive time but you are highly likely to have to contend with at least some traffic no matter what time of day you arrive. Plan for it to take you about a 2-hour drive to the hotel (if you're staying where we blocked rooms).
Portland International (PWM), Portland ME
Pros: Likely will encounter less traffic. Google Maps estimates about a 1-hour drive to the hotel.
Cons: Smaller airport means you may have fewer flight options and/or they may be pricier.
Manchester-Boston Regional (MHT), Manchester NH
Pros: Likely will encounter less traffic. Google Maps estimates about a 1-hour drive to the hotel.
