Once upon a time—not in a castle, but in a theatre, where spotlights danced and curtains rose—a prince named Michael and a spirited young woman named Amber went on their very first date. It was no surprise that their story began with a production, for their love would be one worthy of the stage. It was April 27, 2003, and with a kiss, their tale began. On December 20th, 2003, Michael surprised Amber at UW Badger game. With 16,000 fans cheering, the UW cheer squad holding up signs that read Amber Marry Mike, and Bucky Badger at his side, Michael asked Amber the most important question of his life. She said yes. Of course she did—this was the stuff of fairy tales. After a season of laughter, discovery, and sweet adventure, the couple said “I do” on September 4, 2004. It wasn’t just a wedding—it was the start of a lifelong performance of grace, faith, and love. Their cast grew to include three brilliant sons: Taylor, Daniel, and Noah, each one a chapter of joy, energy, and purpose in the story God was writing through them. They began their family life in the Wisconsin Dells and eventually settled into a warm, love-filled home in Baraboo. There, they planted roots—not just in soil, but in their church community at Walnut Hill, where they’ve worshipped faithfully for the past five years. Their church became a place of spiritual growth, where friends turned into family, and praise echoed with the sound of generations. Their love has never been perfect, but it has been real. It has weathered life’s seasons with laughter and tears, faith and forgiveness, and above all, unwavering devotion. Like the love described in 1 Corinthians 13, theirs is patient, kind, enduring, and never failing. Michael and Amber always say, “I love you more today, more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow.” From their first vacation to the Florida Keys, 22 years ago, the ocean has called them back time and time again. So it only made sense that they’d return to their beloved waters to renew the vows that have carried them through two decades. What started as just the two of them dating, and Michael’s little three-year-old Taylor, who first made Amber a mommy—has become a radiant family bound in faith and joy. Michael, Amber, and the boys have a house thats filled with music, dancing, spontaneous performances, and belly-aching laughter. And at the center of it all? A deep, abiding relationship with God, and a love that reflects His heart. This vow renewal isn’t just a celebration of marriage—it’s a tribute to family, friendship, and the God who has authored their every chapter. Surrounded by their most cherished loved ones, Michael and Amber rejoice in the fairy tale they never imagined but always trusted God would write. And so, with hands clasped, eyes bright, and hearts full—they begin again. Happily ever after
