Amber and Rodney both grew up going to Salvation Army Churches in Florida, as well as attending Camp Keystone. They were always aware of each other but never hung out in the same friend group until a spark happened for Rodney during a Divisional Band trip to the Rose parade in California. Amber and Rodney's first interactions with each other were on iMessage games playing crazy 8's along with some other friends on a group chat. Rodney noticed Amber's competitive spirit and challenged her directly to a game of 8ball. After a couple of matches through iPhone games and frequent texts, it started to become more than just games on the phone. Rodney started to check up on her daily and throw signals at Amber to show that he was interested in her. But Amber didn’t see them being together just yet. 6 months later on another band trip, Rodney's persistent flirting brought Amber to discover her feelings for him, but Amber was moving away from Florida to go to Asbury University in Kentucky. It wasn’t until a month later at Camp Keystone that Amber allowed Rodney to take her on a date. And the rest is history...
