Our Wedding

If I could put into one word about how Amber and I met, it would be fate. Though not a Cinderella story, it is one that we like to share to anyone who listens. It was St. Patrick's day in 2018, and my group of friends and I were out at the local country bar. The night was young, people were dancing, and all of us were having a great time as always. Later in the evening, our group paired up with another that was across the dance floor. I remember walking up to the table and thinking Wow, she is beautiful. How is a woman like her with that chick? As the night went on, one of my friends casually starts talking to Amber and her date. With a couple drinks in my system, I worked up the courage to join the conversation. During the rest of the night, I managed to ask Amber to dance with me three different times, and she turned me down three different times. When we left (I still have some haze about all the details) but I remember thinking to myself, I am never going to see this girl again. Two weeks later, still single as a pringle, I was scrolling through Bumble (dating app) and swiped right on a girl and we matched. Little did I know that it was Amber from the country bar. She says she knew it was me when she swiped, but of course I had no idea it was her. Just like that, we started chatting. It finally clicked for me two days later that it was in fact the beautiful woman I met at the bar that night. Has to be fate, right? That we reconnected on a dating app after she turned me down three times asking her to dance... A few days later we went on our first date at Yard House. I remember driving by slowly in front of the restaurant to see if I could see her, and there she was, sitting on the patio outside looking beautiful as ever. We sat, ate, and talked for hours. That date lasted almost 9 hours. I had a good feeling about her driving back home at 2 o'clock in the morning. A month later, we made it official and I finally asked her to be my girlfriend. Her response... "It's about time you asked me!". I felt like I was on top of the world. By the time we say "I Do." we will have been together for seven years. It is a long time, but looking back it has flown by so fast. About a year and a half of being together we moved into our first place. We learned a lot about each other in that first year, and only grew to love each other more. We have seen the best of each other and the worst of each other, but our love has continued to grow. We are best friends, lovers, and partners in this life. Neither of us would have it any other way. We've been with each other through our busy schedules attending school while also working, we've worked through the chaos of switching jobs, and we were a shoulder to lean on when both of our moms were diagnosed with cancer. We've been through a lot, but have experienced a love we have never had before. It's an amazing thing to find your person in this world, and we both cannot wait to make that promise of forever in front of the people we love the most.

Amber's Bridal Party

Megan and Amber met in college through a mutual acquaintance, and they have been best friends ever since. Though they don't see or talk everyday, they both are there for each other no matter what. Amber cherishes their forever friendship and cannot wait to celebrate this day with Megan by her side.

Rudy and Amber met in college through a mutual acquaintance. Amber would say that Rudy was the person that was either protecting her or getting her out of trouble during her rebellious college years. Though they don't see each other all the time, their friendship is unbreakable and Amber is truly grateful for it.

Rudy Rodriguez

Amber and Jody met each other through Jody's slow pitch softball team and have been friends ever since. You could say that Amber and Jody are two peas in a pod; sassy and classy. Amber appreciates Jody's genuine character. Though they have only been friends for a few years, Amber is so thankful for their lifelong friendship.

Jody Schueler

Mer is the most recent friendship in Amber's bridal party. They met while on a double date and have been friends ever since. Amber and Mer are both in the medical field and love to share stories of all the different medical situations that they have worked on. Mer is the sweetest and nicest human being and Amber is so grateful that Mer will be beside her on her big day.

Meet Emma, Amber's niece! This spunky and sweet 10-year old will be joining us as our junior bridesmaid. We can't imagine a wedding without her by our side, bringing her infectious smile and laughter to the celebration. There might even be a few T-swift songs played in her honor.

Meet Aiden, Amber's nephew! He may look grown, but Amber refuses to think he is older than 4 years old. This bright and charismatic young man will be our usher and ring bearer. His dance moves will bring any party to the dance floor!

Brooke's Bridal Party

Ash, in a short time, has become family to Brooke. They met through their slow pitch league, and became best friends after going on a double date. She has made a tremendous impact on Brooke's life through their friendship, loyalty, kind heart, and witty personality. Ash is a one-of-a-kind human and one of the best friend's Brooke has.

Roe and Brooke have been friends the longest out of the bridal party. They met when Brooke was in middle school through softball. They also played high school ball together. Through college and after they have remained best friends. Roe is the most loyal person she knows and Brooke is so grateful for their friendship.

"Everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth." - Mike Tyson | Rowdy is the older sibling and mentor that Brooke never had. They became friends through their slow pitch team and have grown so close over the years. Rowdy is one of Brooke's best friends and is so thankful that softball brought them together. "Tink"

Michelle Rowden

"Leave it better than how you found it." | Katie and Brooke played high school softball together, lived together shortly after college, and currently plays on the same slow pitch team. KSP is definitely the social butterfly of the group, making friends with just about anyone with her witty personality. They have been friends through a lot of life's big moments and Brooke is so thankful for their lifelong friendship.

Brooke has known Bethany since high school. They played high school softball together and continue to play together on their slow pitch team. Bethany is as genuine as they come. Throughout the 15 years of being friends they have been through many of life's changes and challenges. It's a friendship that will never be broken.

"Be somebody who makes everyone feel like a somebody." 
 Sims and Brooke grew up being high school rivals on the softball field. They also played for the same travel ball team. Sims hired Brooke as her varsity assistant in 2021 and they have been best friends ever since. Sims has an energy about her that brings life to any gathering. She is a true genuine person and one of Brooke's truest friends.

Meet the man of the hour, Amber's brother, Rick Synrod. He will be our officiant bringing our two families together. He's dealt with Amber's mischief for 31 years and has always been there and supported her no matter what. We are so happy that he is a big part of our wedding and cannot wait to celebrate!

AIRPORTS

There are two airports that we recommend flying into: Dallas Love FieldorDallas/Fort Worth International Airport Both of these airports are about 30 minutes away from the hotel we recommend staying in. If you are flying Southwest, you will fly into Dallas Love Field. If you are flying any other airline, you will fly into Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

If you are looking for something fun to do with the family, Go Ape is a great place to visit and explore. They have obstacle courses and ziplining. Must be 10 years or older.

Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park

If you are looking to have a stroll outside and see nature, Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is the place to go. This preserve is absolutely beautiful and has a two mile walking trail. Enjoy the scenic view of Plano, TX!
