Galveston in the summer is rather expensive but if you are able to go in with family and friends, you can find some good options on Airbnb or VRBO. We also like to use the Hopper app when we are planing a trip because it finds affordable options and lets you know when the best time to purchase. Looking in surrounding towns is a great way to save also!

Dress comfortably! Think Texas, Summer, Beach. Shorts, tank tops, sandals, swim suit with a swim suit cover… anything that will have you cool and comfortable. This event is the complete opposite of formal. This is more of a celebration with family and friends than anything.

Daily Parking is $15 per car. Carpooling is strongly encouraged to help y’all save.

We are doing a self serve taco bar and will have some beverages; however, you are welcome to BYBO. There will not be tending or waitstaff service of any kind.

No glass of ANY KIND is allowed on Galveston beaches. Should you bring your own beverage, please ensure it is in a plastic or aluminum container.

We would recommend bringing with you what you would normally bring to the beach. Sunscreen, insect repellent (the mosquitos are bad this year), chair, beach towel etc. We will have about 50 folding chairs but you may want to bring your own, just in case. Some people have special chairs they like and we want for everyone to feel comfortable. We will have some sunscreen and insect repellent available as well as bottled water for the ceremony. We are also the type that will say it’s better to have it and not need it rather than to booed it and not have it.
