It all started with a swipe. Amber had been on the dating rollercoaster long enough to almost call it quits. It wasn’t long before they bonded over a quirky, but serious, topic: What do you do with your shopping carts? If you don’t take your cart to the front of the store or the return station — well, there might just be something wrong with you. From there, it was clear they were on the same page.

Their first date? A casual night of homemade pizza and getting to know each other better. It was the kind of evening that made it easy to forget about the world outside and just enjoy being in one another's company. Amber and Chase quickly became inseparable, and despite Amber’s doubts about jumping into anything too soon, it was clear to both of them that something special was blossoming. Chase, wanting to make sure everything felt right, tried to ask Amber to be his girlfriend early on. Amber, however, decided to play it cool and asked for a little more time — "Just another month," she said. That "month" turned into a slightly impatient countdown. And just as Amber had hoped, exactly one month later, Chase re-asked… this time with a definitive yes.

As they spent more time together, Amber and Chase shared countless beers at the local brewery, diving deeper into their connection and falling quickly in love. Amber even hinted to her friends early on that she was falling for Chase, but wasn’t quite ready to tell him yet. The love grew, especially as they made the trek from Maryland to Virginia (and vice versa) to visit each other. Anyone who knows the area knows — you don’t drive through DC for just anyone. But for each other? Absolutely.

Chase didn’t just accept Finn — he embraced him like his own, and, honestly, Chase is probably Finn’s favorite person at this point. Their bond deepened with every visit, every meal, and every adventure. Eventually, Chase dropped the "I love you" casually into conversation, and Amber’s heart melted. Don’t worry she said it back.

As their relationship grew, they met each other’s families — including Chase flying to Texas to meet Amber’s sister and brother-in-law on Amber’s birthday. They binge-watched shows, tried new restaurants, and made countless memories. It wasn’t long before they knew this was the real deal — the kind of love that lasts forever.

Chase, confident that this was the woman he was meant to spend his life with, asked Amber’s parents for permission and went ring shopping. Amber, however, knew the day was coming. She was ready — but she wasn’t ready for the surprise Chase had in store.

On Saturday March 16, Chase planned a special day for just the two of them, but Amber had no idea what was coming. After a walk (that she swears felt like miles) with her feet killing her from her shoes, she tried to sit down at their destination — but instead, she was spun around to find Chase on one knee. Neither of them fully remembers the words exchanged, but Amber’s “yes” was the easiest decision she’s ever made.

And then came the wedding planning — but why not throw in buying a house, moving, and becoming landlords all at once, right? In the midst of all the chaos, Amber and Chase found their home on Kent Island, where they’ve settled in and built a life filled with laughter, love, and a lot of beer. They’ve shared countless meals, car rides, and motorcycle adventures. And of course, there’s the ongoing debate of who gets to snuggle Lucy and Finn on the couch while they watch their favorite shows together.

As they take this next step toward forever, Amber and Chase are beyond excited to continue writing their story together — and they’re so grateful to have all of you here to celebrate this next chapter with them.
