Two indoor kids who weren't looking for love whatsoever met online one day when their mutual friends dragged each of them into a Discord call to hang out because they had both been particularly antisocial for the last few months.

They were then pressured back into World of Warcraft (yeah, I know) so they could spend time with said friends and each other. While playing the game again lasted (maybe) two weeks, the impression they had on each other would last a lifetime.

After they survived multiple cross state trips, years of bad jokes, juggling way too many hobbies, and three very needy pets, they decided it was time they got married.

One day the boy nerd got creative and purchased a cameo from the voice actor of the girl nerd's favorite videogame character. He took her out to a nice lunch at her favorite Mexican restaurant and then took her to the deck of his parents house because she loved the view. His nephew gave it away almost instantly because he was asked to take video of the whole thing and went about it as stealthily as a rhinoceros, but it was still the best day of the girl nerd's life thus far. Spoiler, she said "duh!"

Video games were the first thing to bring us together, but it went so much deeper than that. We both shared the same sense of humor, the same favorite movies, and the same overwhelming love of staying inside in our pajamas. The things we already had in common were staggering, but the things we shared with each other along the way turned it into something even more special. The girl nerd showed the boy nerd how to play Magic and got him into comics. The boy nerd got the girl nerd into sports and all sorts of new foods. They found a love for cooking together (even though they pretty heavily detested it before) and started painting minis (with the intention of getting into Warhammer... Someday...)
