Boarding the Miller Ferry and “walking across”.
The address to the Miller Ferry: 5174 E Water Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452
It is imperative you board on the 11:15 A.M ferry. It is the only ferry that runs before the start of the ceremony. There will be a large line of people checking in to cross for the wedding. We suggest you arrive no later than 10:30 a.m so you have enough time to park, get in line to turn in your ticket voucher and wait for the ferry.
Where to park before boarding the ferry
The Miller Ferry has multiple free parking lots to choose from. There are also some private lots closer to the boarding dock that cost money. Attached photo of the parking lots below.
Where to get your boarding tickets
There will be vouchers in each invitation to turn in to the ticket booth for a one way ticket to Middle Bass. If you choose to leave the island after the reception, a ferry will be taking passengers back to mainland/ Catawba at 7:15 P.M free of charge and no ticket will be needed.
Where to go when arriving at Middlebass
The ferry lets the cars off first. Then they let the walk on passengers off last. When you are walking onto the island, walk through the Middlebass Island state park sign, and follow the sidewalk up to the venue. A photo of the sign is attached below.
Attire
We ask that our guests please dress Semi-formal. Semi-formal wedding attire is more relaxed than formal but more refined than casual. In case you are unsure of what to wear and are worried about clashing with the bridal party, the bridesmaids will be in the color sea glass and the Groomsmen will be in khaki suits. I have the colors shown below.
