Michael and I met, the summer of 2015 at the FedEx supply chain during my college years. I had eyed him a few times throughout the warehouse. How could I resist seeing husky, tall, dark and chocolate? I can remember the day that Michael asked for my number and my response was no! I admit that I was playing hard to get and had no intentions on pursuing anyone in the work environment. However, shortly after we developed a friendship.

Throughout the years, Michael and I dated on and off and always kept in touch with one another. Due to my mother working at the same warehouse as us, she would always reach out to him over the years during the holidays. This was the glue to our story. Michael’s favorite line is “I always told your mom that I would marry her daughter.”

The beginning of 2022, I remember being in my apartment and being serious about my dating life. I took out a pen and my journal and recalled a TikTok video I had ran across regarding manifestation. I began to write every detail of what I desired in a possible mate; including a great father, man of God, a great cook and someone that I already knew. Afterwards, I began to pray and have a conversation with God.

Later that year, summer of 2022, I received a text from Michael (My mom encouraged him to reach out). From then on, we reconnected and became serious about one another. I must say that things between us have taken off in full speed than I expected. My favorite saying is “God answers prayers” because I am a true witness to it. God created our foundation years ago and knew the timing for us to reconnect and bring us together.
