Our relationship has been a testament to the Lord's kindness and timing. During my freshman summer, I randomly received an email about an opportunity to interview for a children's ministry internship at Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL. I never would've imagined how pivotal this job would be. Long story short, I spent my summer after freshman year serving there. Grayson had just graduated from high school and was part of the youth group. We chatted only a couple of times, but Grayson's character was evident in his actions and from the way everyone talked about him. After an awesome summer, I headed back to Harding! We kept in touch through the year, but strictly as friends. Through lots of prayer, I ended up deciding to go back to Mayfair for a second summer. Little did I know, Grayson was going to be one of the Youth interns. I can imagine you all see the writing on the wall, but Grayson and I spent a lot of time together. At church, with friends, at the pickleball courts, and our mentor's house. We had so much fun! Our friendship grew and grew, and through many conversations and prayer, we decided we wanted to be more! In our relationship, that has only continued. The Lord has been so evident through long distance, transferring schools, highs and lows, and the day-to-day. We are so excited to get married and spend a lifetime thanking the Lord for his sweet gifts.
