Our wedding is at our family cottage property, so there is no need to come super fancy. Think summer dresses, and dress shirt and tie.

The wedding will all be at the same location. The ceremony will be on our main property near the lake, and the reception will be on the side lot next to our cottage.

The ceremony and reception will both be taking place outdoors.

After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour with food and drinks available. As well, there will be various lawn games available and some live jazz music.

Our ceremony begins at 4:00pm, so we would recommend arriving at 3:45pm by the latest, no earlier than 3:00pm. There will be drinks available before hand (water, beer, coolers).

If you are choosing to drive, you can park anywhere along our street on either side (Chemin des Amarantes). As a heads up, it is a dirt road. Parking is free.

We do have some kids attending the wedding, however most of them are in our wedding party. If you would like to bring your child, please reach out to us individually, so we can make sure we are prepared.

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Yes, we have created a hotel room block for the Super 8 in Sainte-Agathe. Please see information under the accommodations tab. There are also some airbnb options, or camping in the area if you prefer.

After the wedding ceremony, there will be hors d'oeuvres available (charcuterie, finger foods, etc.) and an open bar with wine, beer, and select cocktails.

Dinner will be a pasta buffet. There will be meat and vegetarian/vegan pasta sauce options, as well as gluten free pasta available. Each table will have a caesar salad, garden salad, and dinner buns.

We have decided not to create a wedding registry. In lieu of a physical gift, you may contribute to our Portugal honeymoon fund, if you'd like. If you prefer a more personalized gift, please feel free to contact us. There will be a location to drop off cards upon your arrival.

Yes! We recommend visiting the "Things to Do" tab of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, spas and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.

Yes, we will have an open bar all evening. However, we recommend bringing a tip for our bartenders. There will be a tip jar available.

You are more than welcome to take photos throughout the day!

Feel free to post on social media, if you want we have created a wedding hashtag #johnaliewedding for the day. We have also created a group photo gallery, where people can upload photos of the day. There will be information available upon your arrival.

There will be portable washrooms, with hand washing stations.
