The year was 2017 and both Amelia and Max were freshman in college, attending The University of Oregon. It was spring term and everything was just about to bloom on campus, even love.

Beginning the new term, the first Monday back at school was excruciatingly long with a day full of classes but little did Amelia and Max know that the last class of the day was going to change their lives forever.

Walking into Writing 123, Amelia noticed that it was a smaller room and everyone was sitting in chairs that formed a circle. While looking for her friend, someone else captured her attention. He had blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a sweet smile. She couldn't look away. Once their eyes locked, Amelia’s cheeks began to warm and turn cherry red. Embarrassed by the blushing, she hurried over to the first free seat she could find. Curious to find out more about him, Amelia devised a plan. When the attendance sheet came around the room, she counted the number of chairs he sat away from her and found his name - Max Husbands.

After class, Amelia and her friend walked to the nearest on-campus food court to grab dinner before heading up to their dorm to study for the evening. As they were walking, they noticed Max walking behind them, and Amelia began to feel a tinge of butterflies in her stomach. Max stood in line behind her as she ordered dinner. When she turned around to walk away with her sandwich, he looked at her and began to speak - “Wow. That sandwich is really tiny.”
