Me (Amelia aka Meli) and Eric met at college at Humboldt State University. We were both members of the fencing club, both learning the art of the sword. Though I was learning how to wield a rapier, he was learning to fence small sword. The club soon became one big friend group, and we did all sorts of fun things like having breakfast before club, the Saturday Morning Cartoon Breakfast, go out to dinners, and just hang out and party! But soon, me and Eric both graduated and had to go our separate ways, him back home in San Jose and me back in Los Angeles. But we didn't let the long distance ruin our budding relationship! We made it work by flying or driving for a weekend to see each other. It was going great.....until the Pandemic. COVID made things very hard to go visit each other with everything locked down. Despite it all, I managed to promote to a new position in my job and Eric found work that was in Camarillo, and we both moved in together in a nice little apartment not too far from work, and even adopted a cat! We lived together for a year, and on March 30th, he asked to me to marry him!
