Our Wedding

Our story began at the University of Illinois, where Amelia was a gymnast and Xavier was a baseball player. After first noticing each other in the dining hall at the football stadium, we officially met on October 30, 2020, during Halloween weekend. We began dating on November 27, 2021, and from there, life quickly filled with shared milestones and celebrations. In December 2022, Xavier traveled to England for Christmas and met Amelia’s family for the first time. He graduated from the University of Illinois in May 2023, and on March 16, 2024, we got engaged. Amelia earned her undergraduate degree in May 2024, and that August we moved into our first apartment together. While Xavier worked for the University of Illinois, Amelia completed her fifth year and earned her master’s degree. In April 2025, Xavier returned to Wisconsin to start a new job, and Amelia joined him after graduating in May 2025. We moved into our new apartment in November 2025. Now, we are so excited to celebrate our wedding with all of you on August 15, 2026. Located in the heart of Teddington, The Park Hotel is a Grade II listed Victorian hotel offering accommodations in South West London. The property is next to Teddington train station, and Central London and Heathrow Airport can be reached in 30 minutes. On site parking is available. The hotel has 44 bedrooms with a mix of room types, some newly renovated. The hotel pub is furnished with grand decor, fireplaces and an outside terrace. Plan of the Week Leading Up to The Wedding

During the week leading up to the wedding me and Xavier are planning somethings to do, there is no pressure to join but just wanted to give everybody some options of things we will be doing. Tuesday 11th- We will be arriving in London sometime in the day, but nothing planned as of now. Wednesday 12th- Site seeing day around London, we plan on walking around the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, St Jame's Park and Trafalgar Square. Thursday 13th- Night out/Pub Crawl around London - more to come in terms of locations and times. Friday 14th- Walk around Bushy Park and visit Henry VIII's castle: Hampton Court Palace, maybe walking along the River Thames. Most likely in the morning due to the wedding prep beginning. Saturday 15th- Wedding Day! Sunday 16th- Me and Xavier will be heading off to our honeymoon in Italy!
