It was 2010 when two kids found themselves talking to each other online. She took one look at his profile, assumed he was a girl, and thus would make the perfect online friend. He wasn't looking for friendship and just wanted help making a post look just right when a girl appeared in his comment section to offer advice in the nicest way possible.In no time at all, the two became pen-pals, chatting with each other at every spare moment about anything and everything; likes, dislikes, hopes, dreams, plans for the future, every success, and every failure. It would be over a year before they would ever see each other's faces on a Skype call. The call kept experiencing "technical difficulties" the cause of which was "accidental disconnects" to give them both time to shake out their nerves and see if they could do anything about the redness in their faces. (They could not.)10 years of online chatting, calls, in-person visitations, and plans to move in together culminated in a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park. They'd both grown so much as people and it was time to finally ask for that growth to continue together. He'd spent the entire trip looking for just the right time. At the geyser of Old Faithful, when the eruption stopped, he bent down on one knee and...everyone was looking away! Only Natalija, sister and hero of this story, managed to recognize his grand gesture and made sure it was seen. We now invite you to help us start the next chapter. We want desperately for our wedding day to be a day for our friends and families to mingle and see why we love you all so very much.

Travel Recommendations

We recommend flying to Oregon or making your way to the Newport area on Friday 9/26 or Saturday 9/27, and planning to leave on Monday 9/29. You will need a rental car and can expect a ~1.5 - 2 hour drive if you fly into Eugene (EUG) and ~2.5 hour drive if you fly into Portland (PDX)

Where can we stay?

Many hotels exist near the venue in Newport, OR for all price ranges. No hotel rooms are presently blocked off.
