We met, by chance, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Travis, a diehard Miami Heat fan, had come to see them play the Charlotte Hornets. This same weekend, my friend and I opted to attend the game as well. Travis will say we made eye contact throughout the first half, but that's neither here, nor there. By the end of the third quarter, Travis had worked up the nerve to come to introduce himself. After the game, our respective groups met at a couple of local joints for drinks and dancing. From that very first weekend, we knew it was something special. In fact, that weekend jumpstarted a year of alternating weekend visits. We are both huge fans of I-85, by the way (sike). This was definitely tiring at times, but made our relationship stronger! We have enjoyed many trips and experiences together, as we both enjoy adventure. On one of the most memorable trips to the Virgin Islands, Travis asked the big question! Now, as we settle into our first home, we embark on the biggest adventure yet. Through each other, we have made many wonderful new friends, and we are so excited to have you all be part of this special day!
