Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance is bringing back its summer festival on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12 – 6 PM all across Downtown Harrisonburg.
This will have a variety of activities and entertainment spread throughout the district for all ages. There will be live music, magicians, community art projects, arts and crafts activities, walking tours, food specials at restaurants, food trucks, sidewalk sales, touch-a-truck, Sip & Stroll (open container) and more!
Special mention goes to Dart Resale & Trade for their annual vintage sale - right across the street from the farmer’s market and our favorite brewery, pale fire. be sure to check it out!

Shenandoah National Park is a must-see! A great quick hike: Bear Fence; If you have more time: Dark Hollow Falls or Mary's Rock
Reddish Knob: 360 view you can drive up to; one of the tallest peaks in the area; 40 minutes' drive. There is a lot of graffiti at the top.
Rivenrock Park: a quick (30 mins) drive to the George Washington National Forest to play in a large stream & picnic.
JMU's Arboretum is a nice spot for kids and botany lovers.
A great sunset spot (& even better if you go to the Arboretum): JMU's East Campus Festival Lawn (free parking after 5 pm & on weekends)- stunning view of the mountains & valley
