His POV:

From the first time I met Amelia through bantering with her in our anatomy and physiology Zoom breakout room in 2020, I knew there was something special about her. Her magnetism captivated me, which is why I decided to find her on Instagram shortly after that encounter. But alas, she was of course taken at the time (because why wouldn’t she be). While we had further conversations about class and tests, the nature of our relationship ended there. After the quarter ended, we dissipated into simply Instagram acquaintances at best, and she was mostly off my radar. However, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t stop in on her page every now and then and watch her stories (and even reply to some of them). A few years later, and it was right before the summer of 2022. I had randomly responded to one of her stories, which ended up becoming a whole conversation and an exchange of phone numbers. I had also asked her out for lunch. I was originally reluctant to do so, thinking she would for sure say no. In my mind, she was (and still is) way out of my league. But I decided to take a leap of faith and ask anyway, and, by the grace of God, she actually said yes! The date ended up being good but did not amount to anything romantic. We hadn’t spoken to one another after that date until January of 2023. Of course, once again, I responded to one of her stories on Instagram. This time, it was a gym story, and I had noticed her working out at my gym. So, with much reluctance again, I asked if she’d be down to workout with me. And she said yes again! At this point, I didn’t know what to expect since we hadn’t spoken since the first date, so I let go of any expectations and went in with an open mind. Besides, at the very least she would make an awesome friend and workout buddy. We had spent a few months working out almost every day together and growing closer. I knew there was a connection between us just based on how we flirted and interacted in the gym. And after every workout session, we would stretch on the mats and chat for about 30 minutes. This time together established the foundation of our relationship and after the few months of working out and some successful dates, we decided to take a chance on one another and make it official! Ever since then, our lives have perfectly fallen into place into one another’s and now here we are, getting married and preparing for the rest of our lives! 

Her POV:

I had thought nothing of our first meeting each other over zoom in 2020, but looking back I recognize Daniel's same countenance. Kind, engaging, and sweet. Fast forward 2 years later and some instagram banter, we went on an official first date. It was the first time I ever saw Daniel in person (He was so handsome!). This date went so well, we joked around and talked about our lives and plans for our future. No second date happened due to circumstances, but he left a mark on me and I never forgot him. Fast forward once again another year, on January 11, 2023, Daniel messages me to ask to workout together since we conveniently went to the same gym. I accepted, after all he'd make a great friend! ;) During those first 2 months we saw each other every day, studying and working out. We flirted and chatted and the more we hung out, the more I found myself falling for him. The way he cared for me and listened to the little details, the more I recognized his generosity and kindness. I fell in love with him. Though I was indecisive in the beginning, little did I know how God was bringing our paths together. Despite some hurdles, God gave me the desire to choose him over anything. And how right was HE! March 28 marks the day we made it official and, well, you know the rest!
