From&nbsp;Billy's&nbsp;eyes: Ok,&nbsp;so&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;with&nbsp;Jahn&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jacob,&nbsp;I&nbsp;just&nbsp;got&nbsp;done&nbsp;saying,&nbsp;"Hey,&nbsp;we&nbsp;Americans&nbsp;know&nbsp;how&nbsp;to&nbsp;talk&nbsp;to&nbsp;women"&nbsp;and&nbsp;he's&nbsp;like,&nbsp;"Oh,&nbsp;yeah,&nbsp;show&nbsp;me."&nbsp;And&nbsp;Aimee&nbsp;walked&nbsp;by&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;like,&nbsp;"Hey,"&nbsp;I&nbsp;don't&nbsp;remember&nbsp;exactly&nbsp;what&nbsp;I&nbsp;said,&nbsp;something&nbsp;like,&nbsp;"Hey,&nbsp;do&nbsp;you&nbsp;like&nbsp;this&nbsp;[football&nbsp;games],&nbsp;thank&nbsp;goodness&nbsp;football&nbsp;season&nbsp;has&nbsp;started."&nbsp;And&nbsp;Aims&nbsp;was&nbsp;like,&nbsp;"yeah&nbsp;but&nbsp;it's&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;ending&nbsp;soon"&nbsp;or&nbsp;something&nbsp;like&nbsp;that,&nbsp;so&nbsp;I&nbsp;said,&nbsp;"at&nbsp;least&nbsp;then&nbsp;we&nbsp;can&nbsp;go&nbsp;hunting"&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;said,&nbsp;"yes!"&nbsp;And&nbsp;I&nbsp;looked&nbsp;over&nbsp;at&nbsp;Jahn&nbsp;and&nbsp;said,&nbsp;"she's&nbsp;a&nbsp;keeper."&nbsp;I&nbsp;don't&nbsp;remember&nbsp;exactly,&nbsp;but&nbsp;it's&nbsp;kinda&nbsp;crazy&nbsp;how&nbsp;we&nbsp;met.&nbsp;Then&nbsp;she&nbsp;went&nbsp;back&nbsp;up&nbsp;when&nbsp;the&nbsp;rain&nbsp;started,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;the&nbsp;quintessential&nbsp;Iowa&nbsp;State&nbsp;fan,&nbsp;watching&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;rain.&nbsp;The&nbsp;next&nbsp;week,&nbsp;I&nbsp;told&nbsp;her,&nbsp;"Hey,&nbsp;I'm&nbsp;gonna&nbsp;be&nbsp;down&nbsp;there&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;couple&nbsp;weeks,&nbsp;you&nbsp;wanna&nbsp;hang&nbsp;out,"&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;like,&nbsp;"yes,"&nbsp;like&nbsp;immediately,&nbsp;"yes." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Through&nbsp;Aimee's&nbsp;eyes: At&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;2018&nbsp;game,&nbsp;Brenna&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;got&nbsp;good&nbsp;seats&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;second&nbsp;row,&nbsp;so&nbsp;she&nbsp;saved&nbsp;our&nbsp;spots&nbsp;while&nbsp;I&nbsp;ran&nbsp;back&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;fill&nbsp;our&nbsp;water&nbsp;bottles.&nbsp;Billy&nbsp;says&nbsp;he&nbsp;saw&nbsp;me&nbsp;as&nbsp;I&nbsp;ran&nbsp;up&nbsp;the&nbsp;stairs&nbsp;past&nbsp;him,&nbsp;on&nbsp;my&nbsp;way&nbsp;back,&nbsp;he&nbsp;shouts&nbsp;out&nbsp;(completely&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;character&nbsp;for&nbsp;him),&nbsp;"hey,&nbsp;what's&nbsp;up"&nbsp;(Bob&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jahn&nbsp;both&nbsp;try&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;credit&nbsp;for&nbsp;pointing&nbsp;me&nbsp;out,&nbsp;but&nbsp;Billy&nbsp;denies&nbsp;it),&nbsp;I&nbsp;respond&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;very&nbsp;NY,&nbsp;"are&nbsp;you&nbsp;talking&nbsp;to&nbsp;me?"&nbsp;resulting&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;very&nbsp;startled&nbsp;expression&nbsp;from&nbsp;him,&nbsp;he&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;fires&nbsp;back&nbsp;with,&nbsp;"yeah,&nbsp;so,&nbsp;football"&nbsp;and&nbsp;I,&nbsp;still&nbsp;trying&nbsp;to&nbsp;figure&nbsp;out&nbsp;what&nbsp;this&nbsp;blond&nbsp;guy&nbsp;wants,&nbsp;say,&nbsp;"yeah,&nbsp;and&nbsp;it'll&nbsp;be&nbsp;over&nbsp;soon."&nbsp;He&nbsp;looked&nbsp;so&nbsp;shut&nbsp;down,&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;finally&nbsp;realized&nbsp;he&nbsp;was&nbsp;hitting&nbsp;on&nbsp;me,&nbsp;so&nbsp;I&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;try&nbsp;to&nbsp;backtrack&nbsp;saying,&nbsp;"but&nbsp;then&nbsp;there&nbsp;will&nbsp;be&nbsp;snowboarding&nbsp;and&nbsp;hunting&nbsp;season&nbsp;so&nbsp;I&nbsp;guess&nbsp;it&nbsp;isn't&nbsp;all&nbsp;bad"&nbsp;causing&nbsp;him&nbsp;to&nbsp;light&nbsp;back&nbsp;up&nbsp;as&nbsp;we&nbsp;talk&nbsp;about&nbsp;hunting&nbsp;and&nbsp;exchange&nbsp;contact&nbsp;info.&nbsp;With&nbsp;his&nbsp;Snapchat&nbsp;securely&nbsp;in&nbsp;my&nbsp;phone,&nbsp;I&nbsp;rush&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;Brenna&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;hushed&nbsp;whisper&nbsp;of,&nbsp;"So&nbsp;there's&nbsp;this&nbsp;guy&nbsp;who&nbsp;looks&nbsp;like&nbsp;Thor,&nbsp;wait,&nbsp;don't&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;obvious..."&nbsp;she&nbsp;proceeds&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;EXTREMELY&nbsp;obvious&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;also&nbsp;states&nbsp;he&nbsp;looks&nbsp;nothing&nbsp;like&nbsp;Thor&nbsp;(but&nbsp;he&nbsp;really&nbsp;did).&nbsp;Then&nbsp;the&nbsp;rain&nbsp;starts&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;game&nbsp;gets&nbsp;cancelled,&nbsp;I&nbsp;walk&nbsp;back&nbsp;up&nbsp;the&nbsp;stadium&nbsp;and&nbsp;see&nbsp;him&nbsp;again,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;asks&nbsp;if&nbsp;I&nbsp;would&nbsp;like&nbsp;to&nbsp;hang&nbsp;out&nbsp;with&nbsp;him&nbsp;and&nbsp;his&nbsp;friends,&nbsp;to&nbsp;which&nbsp;I&nbsp;told&nbsp;him&nbsp;sure,&nbsp;and&nbsp;to&nbsp;snap&nbsp;me&nbsp;with&nbsp;details.&nbsp;Unfortunately,&nbsp;during&nbsp;games,&nbsp;the&nbsp;internet&nbsp;is&nbsp;awful,&nbsp;so&nbsp;he&nbsp;couldn't&nbsp;message&nbsp;me&nbsp;all&nbsp;night,&nbsp;but&nbsp;we&nbsp;made&nbsp;plans&nbsp;to&nbsp;hangout&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;home&nbsp;game,&nbsp;and&nbsp;every&nbsp;home&nbsp;game&nbsp;after&nbsp;that.

As most love stories start, at an ISU game, Billy asks Aimee, "What's up?" He wasn't expecting the New York "Are you talking to me?" 7 inseparable football and hunting seasons later, everyone can extrapolate he was, in fact, talking to her.

Our Story

Being together, what, 8 years now, we've basically grown up together. Through all the projects, hunting, fishing, football,  and trips. I can't wait to keep growing up with you, and someday even grow old ♡

The closest airport is Mason City (MCW), which is about an hour away, but it is very small. Des Monies (DSM) and Minneapolis (MSP) airports are larger but farther away, about two and a half hours.

There is not a shuttle from the hotel, please plan accordingly.
