Like so many others, our story has a lot of ups and downs. Through every difficulty we faced, we found we would come back together even stronger than before. Obviously, this is Amelia writing, and here is a little of our story.

We met right before the COVID lockdown during a dance class at Inspired Movement. We didn't exchange information at first. A few weeks went by and we ran into each other again. Sam remembered my name right away and I couldn't remember his. I said to him in a cheeky way, it must be Chad. He scoffed and said "Chad? That is the name of a wife beater." And somehow we knew something was different.

He invited me to Salasamania that weekend, a local Latin dance event. We continued seeing each other and lockdown happened just a week or two later. We became "COVID buddies" knowing that we came from different religious backgrounds and that may cause issues later on. As we spent more time together, we realized we had more in common than we did not. We spent time paddle boarding, dancing, hiking, and road tripping to nearby caves. Sam eventually had to go back to Mexico and things became more complicated until he came back.

We were both hesitant to start again, but eventually gave into the gravitational pull we both felt. We haven't looked back since.
