Owen and Amelia met in their local pole vaulting club in 2020

They started dating December of 2020!

They enjoyed their time together, dating while Amelia finished her senior year, and Owen his junior year of high school

And Amelia... didn't get into Virginia Tech. She went off to Old Dominion University to kick off their long distance relationship. Can these two survive college and long distance?

So lots of trips were taken back to Lynchburg. Even if Owen was wearing jorts, Amelia kept coming back

For school dances

And adventure

And just like that, somehow they had survived the first year long distance! Except now Owen will being starting at Virginia Tech and is an extra two hours away

And now the trips were back and forth from Norfolk to Blacksburg!

Time and adventures continued! In the meantime, God was bringing us individually closer to him!

At this point it's been a long time. We can't deny that this is something more than a high school relationship

We got a small break from long distance when Owen worked in Norfolk for a summer!

We took our first trip together - to New Orleans! (At this point Amelia is definitely throwing hints for a ring)

FINALLY THE MOMENT WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!! Owen absolutely nailed his proposal to Amelia! I mean come on... look at the perfect kneeling position!

LOOK AT THE RING!!! Amelia totally hasn't had that on her Pinterest board for YEARS...

He even got all their favorite people in Norfolk to celebrate!

We're looking forward to all the adventures to come, but especially FINALLY getting married and celebrating with everyone we love!
