Highschool sweethearts Amity and EJ first met in fifth period lunch at Ridge High School in 2006 through their mutual friend, Christine Luthy. In early 2007 they really began to hit it off and he would walk her to art class after lunch every day. At this same lunch table he asked Amity to junior prom (at Christine's prompting), and of course she said yes. Surprisingly after prom in April they weren't an official couple yet, but did finally decide to be together in May despite EJ's plans to go to college the coming fall. After a summer romance they decided that the semi-long distance of EJ being at Rutgers wasn't going to stop them from being together. Ever since, EJ and Amity have been together through the big and small moments of coming of age - graduating high school and college, their first jobs, and moving across the country by themselves. Now they both live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area and have an adorable cat named Gandalf.

Our Origin Story

In May 2016 EJ and Amity went on a whirlwind of a trip to Paris and London for their 9 year anniversary. EJ proposed to Amity as they sailed past the Eiffel Tower, and he even got it on film! They are so excited to celebrate their upcoming nuptials with their family and friends. The support they have been shown since their engagement is touching beyond words.

A block of rooms is being held at SpringHill Suites Somerset by Marriott for our event. Please call 732-595-5100 by 4/06/17 to make your reservation and be sure to mention the Johnson-Thiele Wedding to receive the special rate of $149+tax per night. This hotel will include complimentary breakfast and a continuously running shuttle to and from the Palace.To Book Online: Click on the button belowWe urge you to book as soon as possible. Due to how large our hotel block is, there are two cutoff dates. The first is Feb 6th, and the second is April 6th. If the rooms aren't picking up before the first cutoff, we will lose half the block so the rooms won't be guaranteed. There is no risk to booking early because you can cancel as late as 24 hours prior without being charged.
