We first met at our college job, Trio Academy. This was a center that provided therapy for children with special needs. We enjoyed working together and shortly after meeting we became friends.

If you ask Mikaela:

I quickly realized I really liked him and decided to "go out" most Tuesdays when Amos was bartending. This only consisted of going to the place he was bartending at for a couple of hours and then going back home. Amos had no clue and thought I just randomly enjoyed going to college bars on Tuesday nights. I was moving back home for student teaching at the end of the summer and so I decided there was no point in risking our friendship for some "silly" dates. Fast forward to that weekend, I went out for lunch with a friend and we ended up at the hospital due to her severe peanut allergy. After that life threatening experience with my friend, I decided life was too short so I texted Amos asking if he wanted to "hangout" (I was too scared to call it a date), he said yes (thank god) and we hung out everyday after that first date, for the rest of the summer.

If you ask Amos:

I just got done with work and I was sitting on my couch when my phone dings. I got a snapchat notification that Mikaela was typing, I was shocked and not sure what it would say. I thought she wanted to know when I would bartend next. When she asked to hangout I was smiling and excited. That led to our first date hiking and dinner. After that first date we hung out every day until the end of the summer. And the rest is history!
