In the early days of 2018, Amsi Angulo met Colin Bevis in a math class at Texas State University. She had just moved to Texas from California, looking forward to continuing her college experience, while he had returned from New York City for his last semester. On their first anniversary in January 2023, they took a trip to New York City, the city where Colin had lived in for two years before they met. He showed her all of his favorite spots in the city. Sharing in their love for the vibrant and bustling city and creating new memories, Amsi had no idea just how memorable this trip would be. As they strolled through Central Park, Colin led her to a special and secluded spot that means a lot to him, where he often visited when he lived there.
