We met way back in middle school in the halls of Patterson Mill. We had a ton of mutual friends and spent a lot of time hanging out in groups throughout high school. Eventually, we started spending more one-on-one time together and finally started dating in April of our senior year.

That summer was full of fun and getting to know each other even better before heading off to college—Daniel went to UMD and I went to UD—which marked the start of nine and a half years of long-distance in our relationship. Over this time, we continued to fall in love and each grow as individuals and a couple. From college to PT school to residency, we made it work across the miles until we finally got to live in the same city when Daniel moved to Madison in 2023. We love our life in Madison and are looking forward to continuing to build our lives together.

Over Christmas in 2024, Daniel surprised me back home in Bel Air and proposed in the same spot where he first asked me to be his girlfriend.

We’re so excited to continue building our life together as a married couple. Weve chosen to have an intimate wedding celebration with just our immediate families in a place that’s special to us—Vermont. We look forward to celebrating in small ways with all of those dear to us in the time being.
