Our Wedding

Amy &amp; Yun met online in the summer of 2021 (hey, Bumble - can we get a sponsorship?) Amy was in Cincinnati and Yun was in Columbus, so their match was pure serendipity - Yun happened to be on a trip visiting Cincy, and their dating profiles matched while he was in town! They quickly bonded over shared values, interests, sense of humor - and love of adventure! Their first date was at the Cincinnati Zoo to see the famous hippos there. The day involved getting lost around Cincinnati multiple times, but it ended up being a fun, silly adventure that they both remember as one of their favorite times together. After doing long distance for a year and a half, Amy decided to move up to Columbus in 2023. After the big move, meeting and loving each other’s friends and families, everything started to get more serious! Yun proposed to Amy on September 7th, 2023 during a special trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. Of course, she said yes! And the rest is history…and history in the making!

Yun and Amy love traveling, and they have been blessed to have experienced some amazing trips and experiences with friends and family. From Atlanta, Chicago, Bar Harbor, and downtown Columbus (which was new for Amy!) to St. Kitts and Portugal! They are so excited to continue making memories with each other!

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers world-class horticulture, art and nature-based exhibitions, and educational programs for all ages. Situated on 40 acres on the eastern side of Franklin Park, the Conservatory features the historic 1895 John F. Wolfe Palm House, 83,000 square feet of glasshouses, botanical gardens, and meeting and event spaces. The Conservatory is home to internationally recognized light artist James Turrell’s Light Raiment II, which illuminates the John F. Wolfe Palm House every evening from dusk until dawn.

The Columbus Museum of Art’s collection spans work from Columbus-born artists like Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, George Bellows, and Elijah Pierce to the luminaries of 19th and 20th-century art. Rotating exhibits fill its recently opened modern art wing, and there are ample areas to explore and create art of your own. Take advantage of the Guide by Cell tours for a deeper experience with the artwork. Interactive stations outside many galleries also offer more ways to process and create art.

ZipZone Outdoor Adventures is a great outdoor destination in Central Ohio. ZipZone has professionally guided zip line tours and a treetop obstacle course. They provide you with a hands free, guided tour of the treetops. All of the zip line tours give you a beautiful view of Columbus that you would never have imagined! Ages 7 and older. If you are looking for a different outdoor excursion, the Adventure Park is something you don't want to miss! The Adventure Park is a self-guided treetop obstacle park where the staff will teach you to use the smart clip system to clip into the course and make your way through several obstacles. They also have a Kids Park for the littlest adventurers, ages 4-7.

ZipZone Outdoor Adventures

LEGOLAND Discovery Center at Easton is a creative and engaging experience for kids of all ages and one of Columbus’s newest attractions in the past couple years. Here, you can immerse yourself in the history, technology, and sheer joy of one of the world’s favorite toys: Legos! The Discovery Center features 36,000 square feet dedicated to interactive games, play areas, building challenges, rides and a 4D movie theatre – all about those famous plastic building bricks!

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus

As 2020 MLS Cup Champions, the Columbus Crew have emerged as a force in Major League Soccer, making it one of Central Ohio’s most popular sports attractions. The team plays in a brand-new stadium in the Arena District, Lower.com Field, bringing all three of Columbus professional sports teams to the district. Lower.com Field opened July 3, 2021 and the 20,000-seat stadium will be part of a larger, mixed-use development behind Huntington Park, baseball field to triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians and the Columbus Clippers. Unique features of the new stadium include a continuous wraparound roof, a 360-degree concourse, a 3,400-capacity standing section — along with two patio decks and a “Nordecke Beer Garden” (a first for Major League Soccer) — and a 5,000-square-foot brew hall that will also be open on non-match days. There are also plenty of pre- and post-game options near the stadium to get you hyped up for the match.

Set amidst a once industrial landscape, Scioto Audubon has been transformed from a blighted brownfield into a green oasis where wildlife and birds thrive and flourish. The 119-acre park is a recreational and educational destination for visitors of all ages. Located along the banks of the Scioto River just south of downtown Columbus, the park offers access to forests, fields, meadows, waters, fishing docks, a climbing wall, obstacle course, and picnic areas.

Just south of downtown Columbus lies German Village, one of the most idyllic neighborhoods in the country. Built by German settlers hundreds of years ago, the area is defined by its brick homes and shops, as well as brick-lined streets. Historic charm and modern tweaks exist side by side here. Peruse local businesses that include delicious pastry and coffee shops, the truly unique 32-room Book Loft, Shakespearean performances at the neighborhood’s Schiller Park, and beautiful lights and markets.
