Hi there! We’re Amy & Reed — two people whose paths were quietly crossing long before we ever met. Looking back now, it’s clear that God was writing our story from the very beginning. We owe a big thank you to our friends Savannah and Kelly, who decided to play matchmaker. On Amy’s birthday, they mentioned her to Reed and said, “You two would be perfect together!” Amy wasn’t sure she was ready for anything serious, but after a little prayer (and maybe some gentle nudging), she decided to give him a chance — and the rest is history. Our first date was at Blue Denim in downtown Greensboro. What was meant to be a simple dinner turned into hours of laughter and conversation. Neither of us wanted the night to end, so we walked to Cheesecake by Alex for dessert and dove into deep talks about life, faith, and everything in between. We both left knowing this date felt different — like God was up to something. Our second date was at Scrambled Southern Diner, which started our favorite tradition — breakfast dates! A sweet couple noticed us praying before our meal and secretly paid for it, a moment that felt like a small but powerful reminder of God’s presence. After breakfast, we wandered through the farmers market where Reed surprised Amy with wildflowers she’d been admiring — and her smile said it all. From then on, we saw each other almost every day. On November 11, we took a day trip to Mount Airy, one of Reed’s favorite childhood spots. We ate at Snappy Lunch, visited Opie’s Candy Shop and the Andy Griffith Museum, and shared our first photo together at Walker’s Soda Fountain over a Cheerwine float. Later that day, Reed asked Amy to be his girlfriend — and she eagerly said yes! Since then, we’ve made countless memories — exploring New Orleans, celebrating New Year’s at Hilton Head (even when Reed got food poisoning!), and growing closer every step of the way. On June 19, 2025, Reed proposed at sunset on Caswell Beach at Oak Island, Amy’s favorite place. The moment was so perfect that we both blacked out from excitement — thankfully, the pictures tell the story better than we can! There have been far too many “coincidences” to call this anything but God’s plan. We’re so thankful for His timing, His grace, and the love story He’s written for us — one that started with two good friends and led us right here.
