Dan planned out their first date out to a T. He started by picking up Amy and bringing her flowers. Then he took her to Cantigy, where they walked through the war museum and flower gardens. Dan also planned a picnic with some wine and appetizers. He didn’t know what kind of food Amy liked, so Dan made reservations at three different restaurants in downtown Naperville. They ended up going to Empire and having dinner on the rooftop along the river. After dinner Dan took Amy to the bridge, played some slow music as they danced and had their first kiss. It was a WOW of a first date.

Record cold temperatures turned away most people from the Christmas Eve Chicago Bears game, but it did not stop Dan and Amy. To make it memorable, Dan proposed before the game at a bears tailgate, surrounded by a group of Amy’s close friends and family. Shortly after the news crew showed up and the newly engaged couple ended up on the news. The Chicago Bears may have lost, but it was a game to remember in many ways.
