Mike and Amy officially met in early 2014 through mutual friends, although both had attended Huntington Beach High School's Academy for the Performing Arts at the same time- Mike for the Music and Media program and Amy for the Technical Theatre program. Their shared love for live music and good times started an effortless friendship . Summer 2014 Mike was living in San Diego for work. Amy made several trips to the area for nights out on the town- good food, good friends, flowing drinks, and of course awesome music. After a few fun weeks of getting to know each other more, Amy made the first move and told Mike she had a crush on him. The rest is history! The two began dating in late July 2014. By early 2015, they were both moved out of their parent's homes and living in their first apartment in Long Beach. They welcomed their first fur baby, Zephyr- a black and white French bulldog- to their family in early 2016. From then to now, they have lived in two different Costa Mesa homes, and have made big moves in their careers - Amy transitioned from managing at Nordstrom to REI and started her own dog care business:Diamond in the Ruff, and Mike moved his MAPS HB recording studio to MAPS OC in Fullerton as part of the Artisans Label family and continues to work locally, nationally and internationally as a touring audio engineer. They adopted their second love, Zion- a white, Siberian Husky with one blue and one brown eye, in August 2018. Their two pups, appropriately nicknamed Squish and Floof, are the loves of their life.

Mike and Amy share a love for the great outdoors and traveling. They have been lucky enough to travel internationally to Thailand, Italy, and Australia, and have shared many hours road tripping across the U.S. to visit National Parks - 19 and counting! They love to hike- in fact, that's how Mike proposed! On March 4, 2019 on the Bedford Peak Trail in Silverado, CA- after hiking 3.6 miles of incline to the top, 180 degree scenic views and wildflower blooms along the trail- Mike dug inside his backpack for the usual ' we made it to the top' celebratory victory beers, and pulled out a ring box. He got down on one knee, opened the box ( upside down at first) and asked Amy to be his forever love. In natural Amy fashion, she exclaimed " SHUT UP!", but then an immediate "YES!" Amy's best friend and Maid of Honor, Scotti, was there to capture the special moment.

Mike and Amy are so excited to start this new adventure together, and can't wait for you to be a part of their special day!
