We met when Blake began working as a security guard at Greiffenstein-Wells Alternative school. Amy had been working there as a Behavioral Specialist. A friendship grew through the mutual love of sports and sports-related activities. After spending time enjoying each other as friends, a relationship soon developed. In May 2023 we learned that we were expecting our daughter. On January 7, 2024, Alivia Rene Gordon blessed us in an exciting fashion and hasn't stopped since. We continued to grow as a family and on July 20, 2025, while on a parents' getaway to Chicago, IL, Blake proposed.

We love to travel together, with a major highlight being to Baltimore in order to experience a Baltimore Ravens football game. Our love of sports continues to be a passion with annual trips to KU football and basketball games. We also love to spend time with our friends and family. Of course nothing compares to being home with our babies, Alivia and our two dogs Lola and Charley.
