Quite the romantic evening - on Christmas Eve, Darren arranged a private rooftop dinner overlooking the beautiful and picturesque hill country in Kandy, Sri Lanka! Definitely a memorable and very Merry Christmas!

The Proposal

The wedding is rapidly approaching! We need to have an accurate headcount for the wedding venue and will need to leave a guest list with security. As such, please let us know if you will be able to attend our wedding on December 20 2015. We hope that you will use this as an opportunity to not only celebrate our wedding, but also to explore this amazing country!South Africa has been ranked as one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD, a wonderful excuse to come here for your holiday destination. December is the best time of year to enjoy this part of the world (summertime), so even if you're not interested in joining us on safari, we can gladly recommend other holiday plans, i.e., to Cape Town, Garden Route, Kruger National Park, Durban, Drakensburg, or even an excursion to Lesotho, Mozambique or Swaziland! We need to finalize numbers with the wedding venue by OCTOBER 15, so please let us know Yes or No by then.

PLEASE NOTE: Accommodation at Leopard's Lodge is fully reserved for the wedding party and out-of-town family members. But other accommodation close by has been reserved for other guests!!! The wedding party is also planning to stay TWO nights at Leopard's Lodge, so if others want to join us on Monday, December 21st to tour around Hartebeesport, that's also an option!DIRECTIONS FROM PRETORIA (OLD N4 TOLL ROAD): Follow the N4 Toll road to Rustenburg. Where the toll road ends, turn left at the top of the off-ramp. At the T-Junction turn right. Follow the road past Pecanwood Estate, take the Brits/Sun City turning to the right. At the T-Junction, turn left (R560). Leopard Lodge is approximately 4km's from the turning, on your right.DIRECTIONS FROM PRETORIA/ WONDERBOOM: Follow N4 Platinum Highway to Rustenburg, take the Brits/Sandton off ramp and continue left. Turn right onto the R560 at the Sasol Garage. Continue on this road, through a fourway stop, drive approximately 8Km's further, Leopard Lodge on your right.DIRECTIONS FROM OR TAMBO AIRPORT: Travel West on the R24 from O.R. Tambo Airport - Keeping to the right. Follow the routes towards JHB and Pretoria . Still keeping to the right, remain on the R24. Travel about 10km to Gillooly's interchange. Take the N3 Pretoria turnoff. Follow the N3 signs for approximately 14 km to the N3 (N1) split, keeping in the right lane. Follow the signs N1 South towards Roodepoort/Bloemfontein. Travel ±15 km and take the R512 exit at Malibongwe Drive. Turn right at the stop street towards Lanseria and Brits. Continue on the R512 past Lanseria Airport. At the farm stall T-Junction, turn left. Pass Pecanwood Estate, take the Brits/Sun City turning to the right. At the T-Junction, turn left (R560). We are planning to spend four nights at Tau Game Lodge, a luxury safari lodge, from December 22nd - 26th. Rates are approximately $350 per person per day, which includes two game drives a day, breakfast/lunch/dinner, and accommodation.

IMPORTANT: We have reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate at City Lodge Hotel Lynwood for December 19th (REFERENCE Number 96339). Individuals will still need to make their own reservations at this hotel! If you plan to arrive early, there are many of other places to stay, but it's important that you stay here on December 19th as we are arranging transportation to the wedding venue (for guests flying in from overseas) on the wedding day, December 20th. FYI....we have booked these rooms from December 17 - 19 for those who wish to arrive early!For those attending the safari, you will also need to make reservations at City Lodge for December 26th (REFERENCE Number 97724).

The Elephant Sanctuary - South Africa – has three African Elephant Sanctuaries across three provinces in Southern Africa. The Elephant Sanctuary, started in 1999, grew from five elephants to a total of twelve African Elephants (Loxodonta Africana). These Elephants have been domesticated through positive reinforcement animal management principles, and as a result, provide us with the unique opportunity to interact with them.
