Dennis and Amy first met in 2006 when they both were students at Heidelberg University. Despite common friends on campus interests, and numerous attempts by Amy to get Dennis to recognize her flirtations, it wouldn't be until 12 years later until they reconnected and went on their first date. After an unsuccessful trip to Cedar Point thanks to uncooperative weather, Dennis and Amy had to improvise for the remainder of their date and ended up back in Tiffin for the rest of the day. Reconnecting was quick and clear to them both that they had been well matched. They bonded over a shared love of good food, travel and all things nerdy. After 1.5 years of dating, Amy accepted a position at Heidelberg in December 2019 and made the decision to sell her house and the two moved in together. Little did they know the test that was soon to come. Three months after moving in together, the two would be forced into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and their relationship was put to the ultimate test. Six months into the pandemic, Dennis and Amy took their second annual trip to Frankenmuth, MI to select their Christmas Ornaments at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. Little did Amy know, Dennis had other plans for their excursion. After waiting in line to enter Bronners, Dennis and Amy walked into the store and Dennis proposed. Their weekend trip turned into an engagement weekend. Dennis and Amy are excited to spend their lives together and look forward to gathering with friends and family to celebrate their union in December.

A Christmas Story House, now restored to its movie splendor, is open year round to the public for tours. Directly across the street from the house is the official A Christmas Story House Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee's window, Randy's snowsuit, the chalkboard from Miss Shields' classroom and the family car. After reliving A Christmas Story at Ralphie's house don't forget to visit the museum gift shop for your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great movie memorabilia.

COVID-19 Vaccine Required

It is our hope that by the time our wedding comes, that we will be in a much better situation regarding COVID-19. However, due to some of our family being immunocompromised, and for the general health and safety of our guests, we ask that those who are not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 please refrain from attending unless you have been medically advised not to receive the vaccine by your primary physician. We understand and respect the choice of an individual to receive the vaccination as their own decision, and would simply ask that those who choose not to receive the vaccine decline our invitation.

POOL PARTY!!!

Pack your swimsuits for an after hours pool party at the hotel! The happy couple has secured a party room and exclusive rights to the pool area from 11pm to 2am. Enjoy pizza, taco's and other late night snacks. Some drinks will be provided but you can also BYOB!
