Virtual Ceremony Details

We wanted to provide you all with an update regarding our wedding. We have decided to have a small ceremony on June 6, 2020 with just our families in our backyard here in Chattanooga. Although this is not the type of wedding we would have preferred, the potential for exposing our loved ones to the Coronavirus is still very real. We do not foresee that changing over the next few months and really want to start our lives together as a married couple.It was important to us that everyone to be able to share this special moment, so we will be streaming the ceremony virtually for anyone who wants to attend. You should be receiving an email invitation soon&nbsp;with additional details. Please respond to the invitation if you would like to attend virtually and we will send you the details for how to watch as soon as we have them.Thank you all for your understanding during these unprecedented times. We hope that towards the end of this year or next year we will all be able to celebrate together.&nbsp;

Wedding Postponed - CDC Recommendation

With much sadness&nbsp;,&nbsp;we&nbsp;have made the difficult decision&nbsp;to postpone our wedding until later this year per the CDC recommendation.&nbsp;The CDC has issued a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/mass-gatherings-ready-for-covid-19.html" target="_blank">recommendation</a>&nbsp;that all gatherings of 50+ people be canceled for the next 8 weeks, and any gathering with people in vulnerable populations&nbsp;be canceled.&nbsp;We decided this is&nbsp;the best option to protect you&nbsp;all as&nbsp;our guests.&nbsp;

We will let you all know the&nbsp;new date for our celebration once we have made arrangements.&nbsp;Thank you all for your understanding!&nbsp;We can't wait to celebrate with you later this year!&nbsp;&nbsp;❤

If you booked a room&nbsp;at the Westin, you should receive&nbsp;a cancellation email on Wednesday, 3/18. If you do not receive that email or if&nbsp;you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Brent or myself and we'll be happy to help in any way that we can.

Our Love Story

Our first date was on April 29, 2018 at Corkscrew Wine Bar in Portland. With some live jazz in the background Brent asked what type of wine I like to drink. Feeling a little embarrassed because I knew nothing about wine, I say "I don’t know....white?" Little did I know how much I was about to learn and how much my taste for wine would change. After a couple of glasses, some snacks, and some great conversation we realized that the evening was coming to an end. Instead of calling it a night we walked around Sellwood and had a cocktail at a local dive bar. Realizing we both had to work the next day, we called it a night but made plans to go hiking sometime soon. Flash forward to July 26, 2019 and we are on our monthly date night having dinner at Country Cat. We were seated next to some of the most Southern people I encountered while we lived in Portland. It reminded us so much of being in the South which was funny because we were trying to decide if we wanted to stay in Portland. After dinner Brent suggested that we go to a nearby bar, Vintage Bar, for some cocktails. We order our drinks and sat by the front window. When our drinks arrive, Brent asks the gentleman to take our picture. While I'm still in shock that he's asking for a picture, Brent reaches into his pocket and pulls out the ring and asks me to marry him! Of course I say yes and we spend the rest of the evening celebrating our engagement. In September, we decided that we wanted to be closer to our families, so we made the decision to make a cross country road trip to Chattanooga, TN. It's exactly halfway between Brent's family and my family. We couldn't be happier to be starting this new chapter in our lives and about being able to share it with our friends and family.

Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport Domestic Terminal

You can view ground transportation options from Nashville's airport <a href="https://www.flynashville.com/ground-transportation/Pages/default.aspx">here</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is&nbsp;133 miles from the airport to the hotel and about a 2 hour 10 minute drive. Please don't forget that Nashville is in a different time zone.&nbsp;
