October 11, 2016 it all started with us both swiping right on Bumble. We had both attended Ida Price Middle School at the same time and had hundreds of mutual friends but somehow our paths had never crossed. Our first date (October 21st) was set to be a private baseball lesson but Amy got cold feet and backed out at the last minute. We ended up still getting drinks with friends that night but had no idea it would be the start of something so amazing. Two days later we had wine and a picnic under the stars at Hougee park and talked for hours but still neither of us thought that this would be our forever...

After a few dates at Effies and an epic time at Dave and Buster's, by Thanksgiving weekend we were ALL IN. We went on our first trip which was to Lake Amador where we camped all weekend and Amy caught her first fish. On the ride home we were already making plans to drive up the coast to Ty's family's beach house in Rockaway, Oregon the next weekend. Since then we have never stopped adventuring, and even set an adventure record when we quit our jobs and traveled the USA in our truck - camping, fishing and chasing waterfalls for six months straight.

Even after exploring every corner of this country, our favorite adventure spot will always be Tyler's family cabin - Derbyshire. Now not only is it an amazing isolated oasis but also, the spot where Tyler proposed! July 31, 2020 Tyler asked Amy to go to the top of the granite rock in front of the cabin and while she sat down to catch her breath at the top, he was behind her on one knee. He told her to stand up and when she turned around to see why, she couldn't believe it. He asked and she said OF COURSE and now here we are! We are so excited to include all of you in the first day of the rest of our lives, we can't WAIT to see what this adventure will bring.
