Our Wedding

Amy and Louis met how most people meet these days, through a dating app. At the time, Amy was living in San Diego and Louis was living in San Francisco, but a location change on the app brought them together! After countless phone calls and messages, Amy planned a trip to the Bay Area to visit her sister and niece, and decided to meet Louis in person. One meeting turned into many, and before long, they were making regular trips between San Diego and San Francisco. After a year of long distance, they decided to make things easier and move in together in Davis.

Together, they love traveling, trying new foods (and over-ordering wherever they go), watching Korean dramas, and playing tennis. Their first trip together was to Tulum, and since then, they’ve explored over 10 countries, with Japan being their favorite. On Amy’s birthday, August 23, 2024, while exploring Italy, Louis proposed in front of the Colosseum in Rome (with help from a hidden photographer capturing the moment). About two years ago, they picked up tennis and joined the Davis Tennis Club. They quickly discovered that their playing styles don’t exactly match, so singles games with friends are a great way to keep the matches both fun and competitive. Food is another passion they share. They’re known for over-ordering at restaurants and, when traveling, often enjoying two or even three lunches and dinners, just to make sure they don’t miss a single delicious experience.Their favorites include Korean BBQ, omakase sushi, tacos, pasta, and soup. They complement each other perfectly at the table: when eating Korean BBQ, Louis dives straight for the meat, while Amy loads up on vegetables (especially mushrooms) alongside her portion of meat.

Amy loves Louis because he is supportive and intelligent. He always finds little ways to show that he cares and challenges her to be a better version of herself. Louis loves Amy because of her kindness and sense of humor. She always keeps life fun and brings warmth and energy into his life.&nbsp;

- For our Southern California guests, the most convenient option is to fly into Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). The drive from the airport to Everline Resort is approximately 50 minutes. - For guests traveling from Tahiti, the closest major airport is SFO, with about a 4-hour drive to Everline Resort. Another option is to fly into LAX and connect to Reno (RNO), which is approximately a 50-minute drive to the resort.

Tux vs. Suit: What's the Difference?

We kindly request formal attire for our wedding celebration. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits and ladies gowns or elegant cocktail dresses. Our ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor reception. As Tahoe weather can be crisp in the fall, we recommend dressing with the season in mind and bringing a coat or wrap for the evening.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors? 

The ceremony will be outdoors, with the reception to follow outdoors (under a clear tent with clear side walls and heaters).

What should I wear?

Are children invited?

Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the children of our immediate families. We appreciate your understanding!

Can I bring a plus one?

We are only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony so you have time to park and get settled.

What will the weather be like? 

Mountain weather can change quickly. Days may be warm and evenings cool, so we recommend bringing layers or a wrap.

Is there parking available?

Yes! Parking is available at Everline Resort. Self Parking is available for guests not staying at the Hotel for $10. Self Parking for guests staying at the Hotel is $35. Overnight Valet Parking is $65.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
