We ask that you wear cocktail attire such as a knee or midi length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men. Please refrain from wearing denim, tennis shoes, or casual wear.

To allow all wedding guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our day adults only with the exception of invited children over the age of 9.

Our wedding is RSVP only and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm. We ask that you arrive at St. Francis of Assisi 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. If you arrive after 2pm, please wait until the bride has walked down the aisle before entering the sanctuary.

No transportation will be provided to or from the ceremony or reception. Uber and Lyfts are available. Guests may also drive to and from St. Francis and Embassy Suites Downtown Des Moines. There is ample parking at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

We are having an unplugged ceremony, so please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture special moments. We would love for you to be fully present with us and enjoy the ceremony without distractions.

Limited underground parking is available at Embassy Suites Downtown Des Moines for $30 per day. The City of Des Moines Parking lot across the street from the reception is $1 per hour with a maximum of $10 per day. There is metered street parking surrounding the hotel. The rate is $1.25 per hour. Meters are enforced from 9am to 9pm Monday-Saturday. Parking is free 9pm Saturday to 9am Monday. Meters only take quarters and credit cards at the kiosk. You can also download the Park DSM app on your phone!
